…and Beyond
Once a community is energized there is no stopping its growth as long as the support and educational practices continue to expand with the emphasis on new challenges and learning and supporting one another with a strong eye on the benefits to the generations to come and the protection of the land and environment. Ongoing challenges are accountability, responsibility for decision making process and developing a management model that the community can deal with.
Future programs will include developing a drip irrigation system with expanded conservation agriculture for the community garden to ensure year round production methods. Also developing more support for the “vulnerables” in the community.
More variety of educational programs in the school by community leaders with a variety of skills to enrich and educate taught by inspiring Kenyans. We have started an art/drama/paper-making half-term camp for the students in order to expand their horizons.
There is no vocational education in Kenya and we will also be looking to develop.
Better health care access for the school and delivery especially for preventive interventions.
Expanded marketing of new crops, services, products, and skills to enhance the community developmentally as well as financially.
